Welcome to the 2009 HCMC EMS Ride-Along Web Site

2008 was another busy and successful year for the HCMC EMS Ride-Along Program. In 2008, we hosted a total of 821 ride along shifts between 5 programs. So far in 2009 , we have hosted 1239 ride-along shifts (Data is current through the date above).

We are continuing to limit student ride-along shifts to 8 total shifts per day. This should not impact any program significantly since the average number of filled shifts is less than 4 per day. In addition, we are limiting students to 1 per signup shift. In other words, while we may have 2 crews that start at a particular time, only one will be allowed a student. Schedules are dynamic and this restriction is intended to give the student the best experience we can provide.

Once on the entry form, you can not change the shift date. To change the date, you can use your browser back button or click the link on the page. The entry form will be locked at 00:00 hours and will not allow any changes to be made to the current dates schedule. In addition, the entry form will be locked when the maximum number of shifts have been filled; 8 each day. This method offers more security while still allowing the entry of information remotely. Important: Any student who is not in the database or on the web site will not be allowed to ride. They will be asked to contact their coordinator and appropriately schedule their shift at a later date. This is a security issue and will not be compromised.

NOTE: Please be sure to enter all students into the Emergency Notification Database (registration form). This information is only accessible by management staff and will be used only in the event of serious injury to the student.

EMT Coordinators, please limit ride alongs to 8 hour shifts between hours of 08:00 and 16:00 Monday through Friday.
